Payment

Dress the bird accepts the following payment methods: Dankort, Visa card, Mastercard, Maestro card, and MobilePay. When you enter your card details on the website, they are sent directly via an encrypted connection to the payment gateway QuickPay. At QuickPay, the amounts and card details are approved by Nets/Teller.

Dress the bird You do not have access to view your card information at any time. An amount equivalent to the value of your purchase in the webshop will be reserved. When the goods are dispatched from our warehouse, the amount will be charged to your payment card.

Order confirmation and invoice

Upon completion of your order, you will receive an order confirmation/receipt via email. When the order is packed and on its way to be delivered, you will receive an email with a track & trace number so you can follow your package. If you have ordered delivery to a parcel shop, you will receive an email and a text message when your package is ready for pickup. 

Contact us immediately if you do not receive an order confirmation, as this may mean that there is an error in the entered email. 

Delivery

We strive to ship your package no later than the day after you have placed your order*.

For Danish destinations, the package is usually delivered the day after it is dispatched. For destinations within the EU, it takes 2-7 business days. Orders placed during the weekend and on public holidays will be dispatched the following business day. Delivery is carried out by GLS and all goods are sent from our own warehouse.

If the ordered item is unexpectedly out of stock, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction. 

* During holiday periods, it may take up to 7 business days before the package is shipped. In that case, the delivery time will be clearly indicated in the top banner of the website. 

Shipping prices

To destinations in Denmark (excluding Greenland and the Faroe Islands):

  • When you purchase for over 499 DKK, shipping costs 0 DKK if the item is delivered to a GLS parcel shop or to your workplace, and 39 DKK if the item is to be delivered to your home.

  • If you purchase for less than 499 DKK, it costs 29 DKK if the item is delivered to a GLS parcel shop or your workplace, and 39 DKK if the item is to be delivered to your home.

To destinations outside of Denmark:

We deliver to all countries in the EU. The delivery price depends on the destination country and will be calculated at checkout. The package will be delivered to either a parcel box or home address - however, it is not always possible to choose this yourself. 

Safety
Dressthebird.dk uses a payment solution from QuickPay. All data regarding your payment is encrypted and sent via SSL to QuickPay. This means that only QuickPay, that can read your payment data.
 

All payments are secured with 3D secure which is a safety protocol developed to protect cardholders online through additional security checks during payment transactions. 

Dressthebird.dk complies with PBS/NETS' guidelines for online shopping, which means that you as a consumer are at least as well protected as when you pay with your payment card in a physical store. All other information in the communication between you and Dressthebird.dk will not be encrypted.

Right of complaint
Dress the bird provides a 2-year warranty in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act. Our warranty covers defects in materials and/or workmanship. The warranty does not cover defects or damages caused by improper use of the product. If the warranty is justified, Dress the bird will cover return costs to a reasonable extent.

Note: We do not accept packages sent with cash on delivery!

Right of withdrawal
If you regret your purchase, you can use your right of withdrawal within 14 days after receiving it. You do this by creating a return through our return portal. After this, you have an additional 14 days to return your package. If you not If you wish to use the return portal, you can send an email to kontakt@dressthebird.dk regarding the cancellation of your purchase. 
If you have tried the item, just as you would in a physical store, the 14-day right of withdrawal naturally also applies. If the item shows visible signs of further use or if the original price tags have been removed, we will make a specific assessment of what the item can be sold for to a third party. Any potential depreciation will be deducted from your credit. 
Returns
You must pay the direct costs associated with the return of the item yourself. Remember that you are responsible for the package until we have received it.

If you live in Denmark, you can choose to use our shipping label. The label is prepaid, but we will deduct 39 DKK from the amount you need to be refunded. You can get a shipping label here:

If you fail to receive your item, and it is returned to us, we will deduct the return shipping costs from the amount you are to be refunded. For items from Denmark, the amount is 39 DKK. For international shipments, it is the applicable price from GLS/DHL.

Remember to include a note with your name or order number, so we can find your order. Please note that return packages from Norway may be subject to an administration fee of 160 DKK when they are checked in customs. If we are charged this fee, it will be deducted from your return amount. 

Note: We do not accept packages sent cash on delivery or to parcel boxes!

When returning, you are responsible for ensuring that the item is securely packaged. You bear the risk for the item from the time of delivery until it has returned to us. Therefore, we recommend that you send the package as a trackable package. Remember to get a receipt for submission, as we otherwise have no way to help if the package goes missing.

You are also welcome to return items in our showroom i Aarhus.

When we have received your item, we will refund the amount for the item as well as the original shipping costs if the entire order is returned. Please note that we only refund shipping costs that correspond to the cheapest shipping method. The money will be transferred to the card that was used to make the purchase. If desired, the money can also be transferred to a gift card. We usually transfer the money on the same day we receive the return package. However, it may take a little longer during holiday periods.

Personal data

When you place an order on Dressthebird.dk, we need your information in the form of name, address, phone number, and email address so that the order can be delivered to you and to continuously provide you with a status on your order. All information that Dressthebird.dk registers in order to process your order is treated confidentially and in accordance with the Data Protection Act. The information will not be sold, disclosed, or otherwise transferred to third parties. According to the Act on the Processing of Personal Data, you have the right to access and request to change or delete your personal information. 

Dressthebird.dk is hosted on American servers. According to new EU legislation, we must therefore inform you that your address information is sent to the USA when you shop at Dressthebird.dk.

Error in writing and sold out items

Reservations are made for typos, price increases, and sold-out items. 

Complaints

If you experience problems related to purchases on Dressthebrid.dk and we cannot reach an agreement on a solution, it has been possible since January 9, 2016, to use a new website for online dispute resolution if you reside in the EU. Find the website here: online dispute resolution
